It's a medium, snell 2010, out in Oshawa. Brand new, $200. I talked to the guy... it won't fit me, but it looks like a good deal that I thought you guys should see;

For a brand new Snell 2010, you can't go wrong.

Sorry, but I would never buy a used helmet. No used helmet is a good deal unless you can for sure validate the owner has never dropped it or been in an accident. Some things are worth paying full price for.

From the web (and from Motorcycle courses taken):

Using used helmets is extremely dangerous and impractical. Used helmets are actually worthless and what is more you cannot really tell whether they are damaged or not. You won’t even be able to tell if they are relatively new ones or not. This is because the helmet is made from a hard outer shell that envelops a layer of expanded polystyrene. You will never be able to tell if the expanded polystyrene is already compressed or not unless you cut the outer shell. An already compressed polystyrene layer will not protect you from an accident.

If you read it carefully his post doesn't add up.

Think about it. He says "Got a new one for an early christmas present" -- implying that he has one, right? So you think he's going to sell the new one he got as a present and keep the old one? Doesn't say squat about not fitting in the ad.

My question is, if it was brand new why would they not return it?

Anyway, to each their own.... but I would not believe word one from a Kijiji ad, and I wouldn't buy a used helmet period.
