88+is the desired model only because it has the newer look with the plastic bumpers. But you can still get an 88 with aluminum bumpers that has the late model tails and body line and simply swap the rear bumper, front valance/bumper and you're good to go!
the price seems to be going up for clean e30's.

How far do you plan to travel to find a car? You can have mine certified and etested for 4000$ or 3800$ as is, if you're willing to make the trip.

87 is the desired year as you don't need emissions. FTW. Find a rust free car, upgrade the SILLY bumpers later.

Yes and sorry I keep forgetting you are in Montreal. In regards to emissions I'm speaking generally of course.

In your case... find the car with the least rust, and that's what you buy... Rust is priority #1 not bumpers. Bumpers can cost 250 - 500$ to swap over, bad rust can mean thousands or the wreckers. Again it depends on your budget, if you have 5 - 7k you'll have no problems finding what you want.

Send a message via MSN to E30 Girl
If you are luck you can find a clean one for super cheap if the person has no idea what they have. We just picked up a perfect car from BC for $1700!
