What does he want done to the car? they are a reputable shop but don't exactly "specialise" in any one thing... I used to take my 911 there.
If you your friend is looking for someone who knows 930's inside out and backwards might I suggest he takes a look at HUNTER MOTORSPORTS... these guys are the best of the best...
Funny you should mention Hunter, because Hunter services his car...but he may be selling it and a friend of a friend services his cars at Mantis and is interested in the car and wants to get it inspected by Mantis...I told him to take it to Hunter...long story short, it's not his money that's dictating this call...he is being generous because he wants the car to go to a good home if he ends up selling it...
I gotcha~ he wants an "unbiased" opinion.... Mantis does do alot of work of Porsches and I'm sure they could do a good PPI. The most important things on the PPI should be:
*leakdown test
*check seals
*check turbo shaft play
*check G50 tranny
*check to see if car is corner-balanced
