Does anyone know what this is?

I just got my head machined, and the machine shop took everything out and put in a box for me to re-assemble. I have no idea what this piece is, I honestly think he gave me an extra piece by mistake ( I hope I am right) this is for a 1992 325i engine ( M50 non vanos)

Anyone know where this goes ? it looks like a spacer of some sort

Does not look like a piece that goes in the head anywhere.

Well, I'm not sure what #20 is ... that's about the only possibilty, but that part should never come out of the head. At least I've never seen it out. What you have definitely looks likle s amachines spacer of some sort ... very few machined parts on the bmw, they are mostly cast.

yeah thats what I was thinking, he told me he had to take everything apart to clean it because it was extremely dirty ( it was)

I am going to check again to see if there is something there.

Thanks

Start putting it together, seriously.

If a joke be sure to tell him you used all the pieces
