Dunno about safeties, but Actek is awesome for engine building! They did all the machining on my engine, as well as done some work on the 8Legs engines. Careful when you bash a place on public forums
Other than that, hope to see it on the road soon

Malcolm, I did the same thing when I did my rusty E30 back at my parents place. Zinged right through the return and feeder fuel lines. Actually got my safety glasses when it pee'd out.. then I went for pee because I was worried about become the next terrorist in Oshawa.

Yeh, paint is obviously down the road a little. Stage 1 of rust repair was completed this evening!
Big thanks to Everlast for his assistance and equipment.
New panel welded in, seam sealed and then covered in bed liner. Should outlast the car.

I'm not bashing them so much as I'm pissed at my car not being on the road yet. All's well that ends well, since I'm getting a few little things fixed now, rather then leaving them.
I've heard rather bad reviews from others, so I was going off that. Good to hear others have had professional experiences with them.
Also: question. Are these two M50 injectors the same? They're the same long part number, but different colors and different 3 digit codes at the top.

Which section of your blog is it in? While stripping my interior for paint I ripped the carpet out, holy crap it weighs a lot lol. What did you replace it with, custom fabric? That's what I'm gonna do: buy carpet from fabricland and cut it to fit as well as insulation under it for winter.

Haha, yeh I'm wanting this thing to be a more stock/OEM+ car when it's done.
The carpet keeps it looking good on the inside. Besides, my rear floor now has a square of seam sealer on it.

Bedliner doesnt look that bad, I saw Denny's car and I dont think you would really notice unless you are looking at the floor constantly.

Just an update regarding the little issues that are still existing with my car.
It was dieing randomly and lopping in it's idle.
SOLUTION: The MAF was dirty.
Now it's missing power over about 2500 rpm, which is constantly repeatable. Everlast (Jay) recommended that it was probably the timing.
I'm going to redo the timing this week and hopefully it will solve any problems.
Now the next stage is PAAAAAAAINT!!!!
The color was going to be Alpine White, then Mineral White. Then it was going to be Sepang Bronze but it's too close to Bronzit (eww).
Finally Porsche Slate Grey (#6401) was decided upon. CHECK IT.

To be clear, I shrugged and suggested timing, lol.
That is an interesting paint color.. it looks like shiny primer.

No, it was more like a slow rationalization.
And yeh, I like how non-metallic it is.

Yeh so the weather did not hold at all.
Either way I went out to Chris and Sean's house in Carp and worked on the car there. Chris has cam blocks so we set the timing properly.
And? Success. The car idles well, doesn't hesitate and has LOADS of power. I know it was raining out, but it was still fun to rip around a little this evening.
So we're officially on to the paint stage.
