LF: E30 front subframe
As stated, I need a new front subframe for my 318is. Track day was not too kind to it and sheared the sway bar tabs right off .
Same part on 325i/e/is/ic and 318i/is/ic. No IX.
Help me out!
Thanks!

Well, I'd like to get a replacement subframe, and probably weld on a reinforcment onto the tab to keep this from happening again. AKG must have something like this... I'll have to look.
Yup, in fact they do make reinforments:

Anyone want to make these for me instead?

They look pretty cheap... I had the same design in mind, but I was expecting them to be thicker.

For what it's worth, my IE swaybar has poly mounts which use the rear subframe bolt for the front anchor, not the tab.

Hmm, I guess I forgot how the E30 sway bar is mounted already. I guess the tab that's broken is the rear one, not the front sandwich deal. But this is a pic of how the IE mount works:

Yeah, they've got the right idea using the subframe bolt... but the rear bolt is still that shitty little 13mm nut and bolt that goes on the little tab off the edge of the subframe. It's pure shitty design. D, yours is going to rip off too, especially with the solid links as your tab on the subframe looks like mine did... just a little rusty, and flimsy as fuc k. The only real way around this, I think, is to have the sway bar linked to the strut housing, a la M3 styles, so all the force is pulling up towards the chassis, instead of down and away. Just my 2 cents. I'll be reinforcing my subframe, and figuring out a new bracket as well. OEM failed way too easily on me.
