Windshield Chip Repair

This is my "goto" guy in the Meadowdale/Lawrence area for the BEST windshield Chips.

Windshield Chip Repair
63 Acheson Blvd.
Scarborough, ON
M1C 3C4

Ron Tordoff
416-802-8772

He is a retired glass guy who works out of his garage in his home. He is very honest, pleasant and worth the drive to get your windshield chip fixed.

Tell him guy with the Black Acura referred you and he will hook you up with a good price.

Most of the big brand glass companies (Apple, Standard) are $50-75 per chip, but he is cheaper than that.

A chip takes about 20-30 minutes to repair. Everything is done by hand manually unlike Speedy and Apple. Ron is very knowledgeable in fixing the chips and making sure you walk away happy.

If you are doing a replacement, he'll refer you to another guy who does replacements and he is the cheapest I've found for OEM and aftermarket glass.

Woodchester Autoglass in the Erin Mills auto centre does it for free, due to the fact filling in a chip does not guarentee the fix - replacement sometimes follows.

For the west end guys Woodchester makes more sense (not putting you down, just contributing).

I'll give Woodchester a shot next time since they are down the road from me.

But here is my story.

Before selling my 330Ci I had to fix a chip right near the edge of the windshield for the safety. I tried 2 big name and one small glass shop in Mississauga and no one would even attempt to fix the chip due to its location.

So I took the car to Ron (45 min drive) and he pulled out some old-school tool used specifically for this type of repair near the edge of the glass, and fixed it. It saved me buying a new windshield.
