steering rack for e30 318i

like the title says, 91 318i. there is a lot of play with my wheel and its soft enough that i can turn by slapping/flicking my wheel with my finger. Went to get an alignment and they told me that they can't do it and that i should really get this taken care of first.

found this with free shipping and a warranty (since i go to the US enough anyways)

also, if i were to upgrade to an e36 rack, is there a lot of retrofitting required? or will it just go right in?

i'm probably going to buy it unless there's someone with an extra one around here that i can get off them to save me the hassle of shipping the old one back to the US to get my core deposit back.

anyone have one thats worth putting into a car?

E36 / z3 racks need a minor spacing in the linkage and are probably the way to go

I've heard e46 racks fit too

Or youcan have my rack out of an 84 318 not sure if it's the same but it should fit fine and I have no use for it
