That's odd. I've taken almost 100 e36's apart and all the 3 series had a damper on the subframe. I guess they were all aftermarket.

well the 318 didn't have one and this 325 didn't, maybe they were previously removed or vibrated off?

only had 2 E36's and these were the first I have parted out.
