"black cadmium cross-drilled rotors" and also what are the pads like??

I know there is Roto-Tech in Toronto http://www.roto-tech.com/index.html which I've heard decent things about, but I don't think they're plated. Personally, I'm indifferent towards the plated ones.

If you want home grown plated brakes that are even closer to you, try these guys:

I got all 4 rotors, light cross drill pattern and plated with ceramic pads for the e36 fro
A local guy for $170. They were white box rotors and he does the drilling and plating himself. They have held up very well with street and autocross use.

only used factory bmw rotors and brembo cross drilled. as for aftermarket they are touch and go. I had a set of rears I had to drill out the hold down bolt hole so that I can install the bolt. prob cheapy china make. But they were free so I threw them on. Pads are everything compared to rotors. If you have so so rotors but awesome pads you're good to go. Unless you are making the discs glow from driving..
