yeah..but maybe he doesn't care because he has no hair? I mean...I don't, so it's not like I let mine blow around in the wind and I certainly wouldn't chance gluing a top on my head only to have MY top blow off because I had the other top down...

Nobody here ever said it was money well spent, haha. Euro grills, plate fillers, Euroweaves, Euro trim, Momo/Nardi/Sparco steering wheels, K&N filters, etc are all a waste of money, but we do it anyways. Anything we do to an e30 is a waste of money, is it not? Hell, buying an e30 in the first place is a waste of money.
Wasting money on these cars is actually my specialty. I've spent 2x more on misc parts and repairs on both my cars over the years than what I actually spent purchasing the cars. I figure, over the course of 8 or 9 years that I've driven BMW's (5 of them in total), I've probably spent $40K on these shit boxes over that time period, and that's a conservative estimate. It's really sad actually.

My first car (not an e30) had a moon roof so I guess I'm just not a big fan of 'em. Still wish my car was a slick top though!

GUYS: Spending money on a hobby that you enjoy, and also gives you transportation seems like a good deal to me...
You'd be crazy to spend your money on something you didn't like...I've spent thousands on skydiving, it was money well spent because I have a blastie!!

$40k for 10 years of driving is cheap. And you have 2 cars.

I agree; the avg expense for a driver is about 6-8k a year incl repairs, sticker, and insurance. This is a conservative est. So Scott, has gotten away.....ready for this???? SCOTT FREE!!!

Oh Oh, we're counting maintenance costs now!!???... Fuk that... I don't do maintenance... That's why my car is never on the track. It looks pretty though. Like I said, $40K is conservative - off the top of my head, and thats not including shop work. I'm mostly just talking about the price of the car, and then the silly shit that I've added to them. I'm into the coupe for over $11k alone, and thats just plain stupid. If you're spending 8K a year on your e30, you're doing it wrong (or right, and your have a sick ass e30), or you're spending it on labour. I wish Randy would chime in here so we can all look like cheapskates.

oooooo...Scott are you getting hot under the collar? hahaha...Just so you don't feel bad I have so far 6k into my vert Not incl the purchase of the car. It would seem alot but it doesn't incl my labour; and what guy who owns one does? new roof, new leather seats, new top end motor, new front end, shocks and springs, shit adds up quickly.. Will I do this again to another e30? not unless I find a buyer to pay me large for all my work. And we know that isn't gonna happen so....lets not all get teary eyed and hug ok...
