e30 Glass Moonroof

$375 is a really good price, even with shipping. When I got my Moonroof+Shipping+Duty it all came out to $570. Installation is simple... adjustment is the time waster.

Someone buy this (not mine).

it is a good deal, but make sure the glass isn`t scratched..as they often can after 20+ years. I bought mine ( glass only) for 470.00 after shipping and duty. and another 130.00 for the seal. so it`s stands to be a great buy.

Good buy, but the sun shade looks like sh1t.

Check the metal sliders that are bonded to the glass ... the adhesive dries out, and the glass becomes detached (ask me how I know)

One side of mine started to rattle at speed and I was able to open the roof (slide it into the roof body) before it became a $500 glass frisbee. Check these often with a glass roof.

Enjoy whomever buys this

I have to get one of mine remounted as when I tried installing it the fit was too tight and my suspicion was because of the new seal. the best thing I know is urethane the glass guys use. those slider you talk about will never come off again. My had been replaced with pre fabed sliders so they used epoxy.

Be careful if you do use that urethane. When I was installing windows on exotic cars (when I was like 17-18) that crap can get all over and make one hell of a mess. There's also another product that is like a black paint that helps it bond even better. That stuff will not get off car paint or anything.

you can use lacquer thinner to remove it while wet. including clothes and fingers.

There are at least a handful that I know of around here: Ceeker and I, Abustiaf had/has one, I think, the guy selling the M10 318i for $17,000 on kijiji, a guy in Hamilton building a v8 e30, a guy with a delphin V8 e30 around Georgetown... there's a bunch. Not something you'd notice as an e30 drives by, but those are just the guys I know of... plus all the e30 guys I don't know with moonroofs. Not crazy rare, but not your everyday.

Looks so nice. I only saw one 2 years ago in the fall at La Peloma before I moved here to Ottawa. Haven't seen one since and I never seen Ceekers even though we've meet up a couple times.

Ernie is like me... we have the stuff, whether you've seen it or not is another story. We stash the stuff more than we use it. The only difference, is that I won't sell any of mine, and Ernie will. Except Ernie will charge you too much for it

Scott, due to my integrity and gentlemanly manners I am going to refrain from commenting......HERE, that is... a justified pm will follow in defense of myself.

I have stuff, I just need the time to install it all..lol.
