How not to park at Sauble Beach

Thought I'd get some beach shots of the vert at Sauble on my vacation. Didn't really pay attention to where I was going and found a deep hole that someone dug, likely in an effort to get someone stuck.

Check it out. The front wheel never actually makes it to the bottom of the hole... the frame rail and oil pan saved me from going deeper. You can see the mark from the "is" lip and oil pan bottoming out the car. I was quite surprised that my bald rear tires were able to pull me back out. Stalled it 3 times trying not to spin them.

Girlfriend = not impressed, and not getting out of the car.

I was there last weekend (the one before the long weekend). Made a huge loop from Grand Bend all the way up the "west coast" through Bayfield, Kinkcardine, Goderich, then stayed the night in Port Elgin. Got up, went to Sauble, Tobermory, Owen Sound, Meaford, Collingwood, Wasaga. Just a short drive.

I spent the long weekend paddling around Algonquin.

Cool. I bought them as winter tires for my beater SE-R 2 years back. For a snow tire, it's awesome in the dry/wet.

We got there around dusk, so we didn't really tour around the town. The entire core of the town is closed down, and lots of police presence, so not many places to go to get pics. ah, weak. I was there on the previous sunday. Had a couple pints of Neustadt 10w30, Kangaroo medallions, loaded baked potatoe. The GF had an Osterich steak, done medium rare with loaded baked potatoe and key lime cheese cake. She's in love with Osterich now!! haha Probably the most tender cut of red meat I've ever had the pleasure of eating.

I was up there a couple of weeks ago, happened by the Neustadt by accident, and bought a few of their beers-that 10w30 was one, it was a good beer. I was driving my Cobalt tho...
