07' 323i, Wont shift from P, Code 347

Hey Guys,

New to the site and this is my first post.

Got into my car this mornig, started it like always and sat in the car and let it warm it up like alwayy. But it didnt go like always from there. I got a wierd light on my display center and it wouldnt let me shift out from park. I sat there for over 20 mins letting it warm up and still nothing. Turned it off and back on and still nothing.

I took my other car to work and when I got home this afternoon, got back into it and tried it and again and still nothing.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks Guys

I have seen that light come on in the past. But never tried shifting while it was on, today it just stayed on and never went off nor let me shift. The car is the last one in the drive way and its blocking 3 others. So I need to get it some how resolved tonight so I can get it moved. Any suggestions ?

If you really need to get it into gear you can remove the shift boot and trim, and on the right side of the shifter there it a little red lever about a half inch long. It's an emergency shifter bypass.

It probably needs service, something is wrong. I'd bring it to a dealer asap, I wouldn't even drive it.
