I bought my Samsung Galaxy S2 from Bell, got it unlocked & now works with Rogers, if it uses a SIM card you should be able to use it with Rogers.

Will look into it. That's what I tried with my Bell SIM card and my old Rogers unlocked E71 Nokia.

Hmm sounds good. The other problme that I have is this, sometimes my battery would go dead in 5 hours. The other time it can last for a day or two. What is going on? It has to do something with my tasks running in the back. It's a HTC Desire Z with Android... Damn I think I should have kept my older phone....

Rogers has that new LTE high speed for mobile phones here in Ottawa. Looks like the rest of the country will have to wait! Apparently this new LTE is like 6times faster then 4g network >_< More money scams!

I like the idea of the LTE, because everything nowadays is fast and quick. But I'd hate see the cell plans for that because it will cost you 100$ or more I'm assuming. Once my rogers is over with, I'm going to Fido I think. No more contracts for me >_<

Rogers has a 10$ Flex Data retention plan
its 10$ for 100 mb, 25$ for 1gb, with a few tiers in between (it automatically adjusts every month based on usage)
The plan i got offered today was
250 weekday
evenings @ 8pm
caller id
100 txt
1000 min canadian LD (includes roaming minutes)
flex data
for 45$ including GRRF before taxes. I didn't take it, they can do better.

Maybe I'm missing something, but is there really a point to all this? My wife just grabbed a new Galaxy S2 from Bell (we've been with them for years ... unbeatable coverage where we go), and here is her plan:
Conference Calling and Call Waiting
200 anytime local minutes
National Fab 10 - Text & Talk
Unltd Nights & Wknds 6PM-7AM
Basic Long Distance Rate
Email & Internet 1GB
PDA ISPR Tracking
Text Messaging - Unlimited Package
Unlimited Picture_Video Bundle
Feature add-ons Digital Data Provisioning $0.00/mo.
1X Data provisioning $0.00/mo. Call Display $7.00/mo.
SPC Premium Smartphone $7 $7.00/mo.
Monthly charges Before taxes $69.00/mo
It's not $45, but it includes 1gig data, and the $7 replacement coverage. This is a basic walk in Bell plan. Why all the hassles of dealing with retentions or whatever?
Here is my BB torch plan ... it's not cheap, but I need the LD and have 6gb data for tethering my laptop:
Email & Internet Bberry 6GB
National Fab 10 - Text & Talk
Unltd Nights & Wknds 6PM-7AM
BB ISPR Tracking
Text Messaging - Unlimited Package
Unlimited Picture_Video Bundle
My feature bundles Bundle 12 Info $12.00/mo. (caller id, voice mail)
Feature add-ons Digital Data Provisioning $0.00/mo.
SPC Premium Smartphone $7 $7.00/mo.
100 CDN-US Long Distance $12.00/mo.
Monthly charges Before taxes $96.00/mo.

well I have pretty much the same plan as your wife, with more minutes, my plan is actually a little better, and after talking to retention I only pay $53+tx, it wasn't really any hassle but I did save $16 a month compared to yours.
