e90 Shaking/Staling Problem..help!

My sisters e90 325i alternator belt shreaded a few nights ago and power steering an many other things stopped working. We got the belt replaced and everything worked for a day...

yMesturday the car started up very rough (no error warning), RMP dips very low for a few seconds and the car shakes... once you drive the car and slow down at lights/stop signs, the car goes into like limp mode and just slowdown and stalls. Restart the car and it works again..but with a check egine light.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Did you find the cause of why the belt got shredded? It obviously doesn't shred itself.

Do all the pulley spin freely, or is a bearing about to go, causing strain on the rest of the system?

yea, we replaced the belt and the pulley was off a bit and the belt hung over the edge causing it to shred.

Dont see/hear any leaks, im going to get someone to read the engine light tomorrow morning and hopefully its an easy/cheap fix

secondary air pump could be a vacuum leak.
