Since buying the car, I have only just hit 158,000 km
and have done a substantial amount of preventative maintenance and/or upgrades (unless otherwise noted, only OEM parts were used):
Work Done May 10, 2010 @ 146,000 km
-new control arms
-new wishbone bushings+brackets
-new tie rods
-new sway bar links
-new coilovers (Raceland)
-upgraded to Rogue Engineering rear shock mounts + reinforcement plates
-muffler replaced with OEM M3
June 28, 2010 @ 149,500 km:
-new brake discs (solid vented) and long-life/low dust brake pads at all four corners
-swapped stock 2.93 open diff to 3.23 LSD
-swapped clutch with UUC LTW kit:
-clutch disk/pressure plate to M5/M3 OEM
-lightweight flywheel (11.5 lbs)
October 22, 2010 @ 154,950 km:
-replaced clutch slave cylinder
-replaced fuel line (preventative)
-new steering column guibo/coupler
There are also some problem spots:
-there is a small amount of rust on the driver's side rear wheel arch and the bottom of the driver's side door. These were regularly treated with industrial-grade rust inhibitor and have not grown much larger in the year and half that I've had the car.
-The OBC pixels are messed up, which is quite common in these cars
-there is a dead light bulb in the center of the gauges which is noticeable when driving at night, however does not make it difficult to read gauges
-the stereo is wired but not permanently installed into the dashboard due to frequent changes made to the setup (I often test other decks and equipment, and can permanently install it at the buyer's request)
-There is some wear on the driver's seat but no rips or serious wear
-the a/c seems to have a small leak (I refilled it last year but it doesn't blow as cold this year)
I have included all details so that you will not waste time traveling to meet me and be surprised by anything. Please note that the car is located in Oshawa
and you would have to meet me there to take a look. The car is wired up with an amp and subwoofer, and that can also be included in the purchase if you'd like. Alternatively, you can drop in your own sub and amp since the car is already wired up for it, or I can remove the wiring. It comes with both summer rims/tires and winter rims/tires. The winters have only been used this past winter and are on 15" bottlecaps. The summers will last you another season or two and are on 16" Style 30 rims.
Also of note, the old clutch/flywheel parts are also available and still have life in them (not sure how much, but there wasn't any slipping).
Asking price is $6500
obo with both sets of wheels, the sub and amp, and certified/e-tested. As stated, this is negotiable based on the final sale conditions.
