To everyone involved: sorry to hear what happened. Kenny, I'm glad to hear that you are OK!
The only thing keeping me from these meets is my own ultimate driving machine. IT's in the works. E36 M3 here I come.

Holy Crap!
Glad that nobody was hurt too bad.
I was reading from the begining of this thread and I though Kenny was in bad shape. Good thing you're OK Kenny!

Interesting Thread.
Certainly glad to hear no one was seriously hurt. But wonder if any of you will act any differently knowing what potentially could have happened. Or will you guys continue to drive with all your ego's, limited experience and beyond the conditions. If you look at all the accidents this winter of Maxbimmer members you'd think you'd get it by now.
And not to rag on someone who's down, but how do you get away with driving with only a G1 by yourself....are your parents unaware of the laws?

You came around the bend wanting to drift... saw me and let off (i saw the whole thing). Then on the exit of the corner (for some reason) you decided to let the back end come out a bit.... didn't expect it to whip around 180 degrees like that eh? Then instead of staying on the brakes, you were too worried about stalling the car and rolled backwards into me.
|
Rob, did you not listen to anything they taught you in the BMW driving school, about vehicle dynamics and weight transfer. Drifting in a E30 is the easiest thing to do, ever heard of balancing the throttle? Go back to Grand Turismo 3 and practice.
With the exception of Bimmercruise 3, I would have no desire to cruise with you people.... I've been to one, where I witnessed people smoking up, getting into very powerful (nice) cars, and drive like maniacs...pass. It's funny I've been to other club meetings were none of this ever happens.

Pat,
I totaly agree with you. And I will be the first to admit that i'm not 100% innocent either. I seriously think we should start to slow down. What is it going to take? Somone getting killed?
Dave
BTW - It is hard to keep up to the faster cars in a 2002...us with slower cars or decide to not speed get frustrated when you guys do this (especially when you don't have a clue where we are going). OK...flame away...if you dare.

I agree with you Dave, it's not even that I drive a 318. I don't really feel safe speeding at 160km/h+ while weaving in and out of traffic and at the same time looking for the exits. It's just a matter of time before someone gets killed or seriously injured.
