Insurance
Just wondering who you guys are insured with? I'm having a hell of a time finding insurance for my E30. Half the companies wont insure a car over 15 years old and the other half wont insure anyone under 25. The only company willing to insure me I've found wants $280/mo, which is a little rediculous. Anyways who's a good company?

I'm with Lombard -- not great but they do insure my 84 and give me a break on it as well due to age

A break due to age? I'm assuming you're older then?
Just got off the phone with State Farm. $4600 for 6 months! I have one 15km/h over ticket still on my record which I guess puts me into the exptreme danger zone, lol. Holy shit Ontario sucks.

Meloche Monnex is the bomb. I pay 158/month on my 335i since I'm a C.A. and once I hit 25 it should go down another 10-15%
No tickets or accidents on my record though

I had my E30 with TD/Primmum at an agreed value, liability only for under $100/month.

Meloche Monnex sounds awesome. Just another item to add to the pile of reasons why I regret going to a shitty college instead of a proper university.
I contacted TD/Primmum. They won't insure an E30 without a written application mailed to them. You know, because people who own old cars are clearly old as **** themselves and cant use a computer. Or maybe they just want the satisfaction of physically stamping a REJECTED stamp on the application.
Insurance pisses me off so much. The fact every supplier is a private for profit corporation makes it so much worse too. None of the ridiculous fees paid go to making the roads better or safer, just makes some rich dick richer.
Ya bro, I mad.

I'm in your same boat...
3 minor tickets on my record... and 2 accidents... Cheapest I've found to insure my e30 is almost 400 a month..
I also just called this Meloche Monnex, and you have to be in university, or apart of some profession that they support.. Which I am not..
balls..

Scottish and York which is part of the Aviya group. I think PC insurance is with them as well. Don't we have a resident insurance member here somewhere (hockey27?)

Ya, the fact that insurance is federally mandated to legally drive, but then handed to private corporations with no pricing rules is just mean.
Friggin' government and their campaign donating friends.
