838 CANADIAN VERSION
It has buffalo leather, 16" staggered Centra rims(7" front, 8" rear), and a Hartge valve cover and strut brace. Also has an M badge on the trunk. From what I've been able to find out about the car, everything came stock like that when it was purchase back in 84. The 2nd owner purchase it in 89 and owned it up until the time they traded it in at the dealership where I bought it. So I'm the 3rd owner of the car. The car also came with the service records right back to 1989. I even contacted the previous owner before me about the car and they did give me a little information, but even when they bought the car, the info was very limited. I did contact BMW AG and they said it lists as a stock 733i which was imported over to Canada on August 30/84. I also contacted Hartge, but their records don't even go back 20yrs. I think the next step is to try contact the person who bought the car new.

The car is surprisingly fast and handles amazing. From what I've read, Hartge did start tuning BMWs in 1984 and they did make a couple different variations of the e23. If anyone has any info on the car, that would be great!

Thanks ... Lol, I was trying to figure out what you were talking about at first haha, but they're staying. I just want to keep this car original.

Thanks man! Yeah my mom always supports my car habits lol. She has even helped me with work on my vehicles before too. Car is definitely going to stay stock. I'm going to order some new rubber gaskets around the trunk and windows slowly because they are dried out a cracked. And it will eventually see paint too, the clear on the roof and trunk is scratched fairly bad. Too deep for compounding.

Thanks bud! Unfortunately Belair who I'm with now won't insure a car that is 20+yrs old so I'm going to have to find someone that might insure all 3 really cheap. I had to put my e32 back on the road because my VW is getting paint and they want an extra $900/yr. I'll definitely have to stop by the meets one of these days, no sure when though.
