I thought you had a dude that can stitch these things? (btw, my vert's back seat is splitting at the seams all over the place... for somewhere that nobody sits, it sure looks like a bag of shit.)

Scott, I had the one in my white vert stitched after I removed it; but because the leather (heat shrinkage) was getting hard and the stitching is old as soon as I tried to mount it back on the seat the other side gave. So rather then messing with it more I am just trying to get a skin or seat -any color- so that I can dye it indigo. I do have a line on a good skin but waiting for them to return from vacation. the other option is to have a patch sewn where the top stitching lets go. there was a bulletin put out by bmw back when as a repair to this problem. but in my opinion that looks out of place and is a cheesy repair.

I can't remember; is your seat cloth or leatherette?

Cloth... well, mostly string... but yeah, cloth. My Dad's is fine though... The perforated vinyl seems to stand up the best.

you should go onto R3v and see if someone there some fabric to match yours and get a trim shop to copy the pattern.
