Antenna removal

Hello all, just wondering if anyone tried removing there stock antenna?

I removed mine last nite and when I did so, the actual screw which connects the antenna to the antenna head snapped off, so now I can't even unscrew the chopped off part.. weird.. I am trying to install a micro antenna I purchased off Bimmian.

Could I unscrew from inside the trunk so that i can get a grip on at least SOME of the chopped off screw?

On the verts you can access your antenna assembly through the inside of your trunk. Depending what you broke though, you may need to either replace the assembly (hopefully not), or you may need to macgyver something for it to work with the risk of having poor reception. Unscrew it from the inside and check it out.

update:

so i took to the inside of the trunk like you mentioned and managed to find the damn thing..if i knew this first then i wouldn't have to worry about it...but thankfully all i need to replace is the antenna head which is the stub..about $30 from stealer.
