Checking the oxygen sensor is a good idea. Fuel injector, fuel pumps.. Try adding fuel stabilizer too?

What size are your wheels and tires? Oversized rims or tires will increase fuel consumption

Is your thermostat working ok? If the theremostat sensor is shot it will cause an increase in fuel consumption.

Have you been messing around with the OBC? If you accidentaly changed the consumption factor (1000) it will increase the fuel consumption

Replace fuel filter, clean MAF or buy a new one. SInce you already replaced the plugs this should be it.

Injectors dont get plugged in these cars, due to its design and if the fuel pump works then it works. Replace it when it stops working.

I guarantee that you will not only be satisfied after you replace fuel filter and MAF but your car will also feel much better.

I'm not contradicting you, but can you explain how a bad fuel filter actually makes the car use more gas?

Clogged fuel filter will result in improper fuel pressure which leads to bad atomization of fuel which leads to bad mpg.

Its all in teh fuel pressure, low pressure will make you want to floor it because there isnt enough power produced etc, many bad things could result of dirty/clogged fuel filter.
