What is my car worth?
I have a 99 estoril m3 that I am POSSIBLY considering selling come fall. The bad is that it is a rebuilt title the good is that the car is basically in show room condition. There is not a spec of rust, scratch or ding on the entire body. The paint is flawless. There are no dash lights on, everything is in impecable working condition. I have actually been asked if the car was brand new by people who don't know BMWs very well and the car has taken first place in 2 car shows for it's class. Interior has regular wear for it's age, there are no cracks or scratches in leather but bolsters on the vaders have some wear.
Upgrades include: CF hood, bilstein rear shocks, custom audio install (roughly $3000), UUC cold air intake, DEPO clear corners, new glass lens head lights with CCFL angel eyes and HIDs, new tires this year.

Hmmm, Selling a rebuilt titled car is very hard and takes the right person and the right disclosure and documentation to do so.
For example, when I was looking at M5's, I found *my dream M5*, all the perfect mods, low mileage, affordable...catch was, it had a rebuilt title and was written off when it was a couple of years old. Despite all the "it drives straight, no misalignment of pannels, no vibrations, etc" the owner claimed, I just couldn't spend that kind of coin on a car that I knew was hit hard and had to be put back together. I don't think I ever will, unless I was buying it EXTREMELY cheap (as in 2/5's of the price) and I had it inspected tooth and comb in front of my eyes.
Just my perspective.

I have a different perspective,
A rebuilt title car was already inspected tooth and comb when it was rebuilt. Another advantage is paying far less for a car that unless you read the ownership is cleaner than any "clean title e36 around. That is why I bought the car 3 years ago when I was in the market for an e36 m3 I found this to be the cleanest example I could find. 3 years later it has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. Only thing I have had to replace is tires and battery. Oh I also did a new clutch but that was out of personal preference.

Honestly, that is by far the most naive mentality to have when buying a rebuilt title cars.
I have personally dealt with "rebuilding a car" and have been around people who have done that and believe me, it is soooo far from the truth. Those inspections are a joke.
Ofcourse, there are exceptions and I am sure your car is one of them and I am positive that it is an EXCELLENT M3, but it is very important to be extremely careful.
No disrespect, just different perspectives.

salvage titles are highly subjective. I've been in/seen people in the position where the decision to write off a car was theirs. They could fight and have the insurance co fix it (in which case it would be clean title), or they could have it written off (in which case it would be salvage.)
A PPI, due dilligence and common sense are the only things you need when buying a used car.

I've noticed clean e36s are becoming very few and far between when I do sell this it's going to be for an e46 m3 but I'm going to have a very hard time letting go of this car. It's been really good to me

With some clean M3's selling for as low as 9-10k these days, I'd have to say 6-8k without the audio setup. A non-wintered M3 in Ottawa just sold for 6k.

Yea i've noticed some can go pretty cheep but they have some pretty scary kms on them usually. I'm told Estoril/black leather is a very sought after combo so that might help a bit.
Realistically I was expecting it to be worth 8 so I'm happy to see that i'm getting some people agreeing with that

The car has been winter stored in a heated garage that I have at my house since i've owned it. I cleaned it up one afternoon this past winter and snapped this pic.
At the moment this is the only pic I have on my comp, If I decide to sell I'll obviously post more.

I don't have any pictures of the damage or fix but I would be hard pressed to actually figure out where the car was hit. I would assume the front since it has new struts and rad. Other than that there is no evidence of the car being hit.
