08 335I twin Turbo??

Hello everyone, new to the site. I'm about to be a new BMW owner, I'm looking at trading my current vehicle, 08 caliber SRT4 for a 2008 335i twin turbo coupe. Just wondering if any of you guys on here got this car and can tell me how you like it?? problems you had with it? hows the reliability?? I'm a little worried about buying it, I've been reding alot of bad reviews about it so I just wanna see what the owners on this forum got to say, I had it out for a test drive and I absolutely love it. thanks for the help.

Well it all depends if you want to hear from two owners or 2000. Here is one section where you will find the 335 owners : http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=58

They don't?

Anyways to your question. I had mine for a good while now and to be honest i didn't have many problems with it. Not any worth mentioning at least. A switch was broken, and a squeeky belt for example.

Some common problems i heard were the vanos solenoid and some fuel pump issues but i guess i was lucky enough not to get either one.

I say get it, and enjoy it! I love mine.

I have one and yes im mostly on e90post now since i got the car..
The high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is one of the big problems with this car but its covered under a recall and theres also a recall for the injectors so make sure both of those get checked out. Nothing else too major then i guess just regular maintanance.

Its an awesome car if you're into modding (can get up to 400+ hp with a chip such as the JB4)

JB4 and Proceede are "piggyback" processors. No real installable chip is available, just a re-flash of the processor as the FLASH memory for this is inside the CPU. A re-flash is always going to be a much better way to go compared to a piggyback solution.
