Audi K & N air filter scam...

Air Filter scam...LOL

Cliff Notes - Audi RS4 owner orders K & N Filter, but notices it is smaller than the one he has. Confirms with other owners that part number is correct. Sends filter back and get the same part again and does not fit. Posts images of where he is installing the filter on audizine...... 5 pages later of posts ripping him a new one. Moral, don't call scam when you are a newbie. Page 1 contains the story and images, Enjoy.

Taken from: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ir-filter-scam

On a side note, my old neighbor once removed his A/C canister to bring it in to cdntire to match it up to an OIL FILTER. Basically the vehicle was a 4.3L blazer and the oil filter is in a remote location within the front fender. Since he could not find it he mistakenly thought it was the A/C canister....that was about $450 later for the oil change, A/C fix and re-charge.

I agree people make mistake. What was most humorous was the title of "K & N filter Scam". Its obvious that forums provide info for the DIY, what he should have posted was "help me with my filter install"...
