It could've been a "Ci" from the mid '90s.

The coveted 850CSi wasn't available in Canada due to not meeting Canadian emission standards. A shame really.

Still since the 850 CSi is considered by many to be the 'lost' M-car... the license plate would be appropriate...

Threadjack;

Does anybody know what the hell this is? Just a photoshop? Some mod along the lines of that 5-series-honda-odyssey?

The license plate was not the issue. Although, "M8" would be fitting for a CSi indeed.

Regardless, whether it's a CSi or just a plain old "i", an E31 is a sight to behold.

My wife had a beautiful 850i; we lived in London then.
We took part in a great group of posters, run by Paul Michael Brown out of Washington DC. There were many, many hints that made ownership fun. Without those we would have been at the mercy of the dealer.
What an incredible car!
Best,
DaveL

There's a guy on Bimmerforums who lives Toronto and lists his car as an 850CSi
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/member.php?u=19768

Whenever there's another E31 meet, I'll send him a message
