Difference Between 2 Nikon Lenses?

I just purchased a Nikon D60 from a friend with literally no images taken it until i bought it. It came with an 18-55mm VR lens.

Anyway, I'm looking into buying a new 55-200mm lens. My question is, what is the difference between they AF-S DX 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED VR, and the AF-S DX 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED?

Is the only difference that one has VR, and the other doesn't?

Thanks in advance guys.

That's the difference. I have the VR version, I quite enjoy it. A longer lens like that is a must for doing any motor sports or sports in general. Good luck with the new camera.

If I remember right VR stands for vibration reduction.

This is an older post but go with the VR for sure in the end you will be happy and long zoom lens should have VR unless on a tripod.
