Enjoy it. I loved mine but in the end, it was just too much maintenance for very little value.

Your car would look great with Style 5's...

You gotta understand that owning a 540 is like having a mortgage, payments to have it running just don't end.
P.S. - premium is $1.55 now

Everytime car makes me fear

not because of the sun
I work all days
to pay for my M62 to run
I just pray for that day
You'll suddenly be problem free
But I know it'll just be like hoping for Scarlett Johanssen
To suck on my dick

Lol. Nice poem.

Yep, making good friends with UPS, Fedex, Canada Post... ordering parts for my 540i every 2 weeks...
Yesterday the driver's door handle broke off without warning, yep another common item on "the mega e39 list". Cost me $95 with club discount, had to drive to Thornhill to get the part yesterday.

Make friends with Maranello and Precision Tuning as you are going to need parts on a fairly regular basis, or pre-order for the more obscure stuff from fcpeuro, ecstuning, bimmerspecialist, etc. well in advance. Just imagine, if not changed already, just about every gasket, seal, o-ring, plastic valve, grommet, insulator, bushing, ball joint, etc. is gone.

If you stay ahead of the mtce stuff you will love it.

Lol good to know you still have it 3 years later
I got my first shipment of suspensions parts from fcpeuro for 1300$ and the shoppig cart has 2k more worth of parts.
But its one of those spend the 4k on all maintenance
Pieces and ur drivin a brand new car happily
And stress free.

They are truly awesome cars, people who bought them tend to have high expectation of what the car should be, but used cars are used cars, they all have their faults and whatnot, they do require more maintenance and possibly whoring yourself out to the wonderful gay community for bukakke to keep the M62 running trouble free, but since you have a 97, consider yourself lucky, no vanos or funky drive by wire, do keep an eye out for rust thou.
That was beautiful ... tears chigga .. tears
