Deposit

I put a deposit down on a '97 E31 840Ci tonight

It looks like I'll be joining the E31 family on the weekend.

She has 113,000km and is black on black. The interior is 9.5 out 10 and the exterior is 8.5 out of 10.

Sawweeett! Welcome to the 'madness.' There's a lot more 8ers @ bimmerforums, and the GTA 8 community is awesome, there's almost always a few of us at most of the big events.

I'm from toronto and commute with my 8 between Moncton and TO.

I brought the 8 at lunch today

I've already put 2 new batteries since I didn't know how old the other two were.

Over the next couple of days I plan on changing the oil, spark plugs, rotors and brakes.

The wheels aren't my favourite so ill be looking for something else that makes this car look more aggressive.

The first fill up was a shock at the pump. It cost me $110 good thing this isn't going to be my daily driver.

The only other items I need to replace is the Kenwood radio and the on-board computer (mine has dead pixels). I want the OEM radio with CD player.

Lastly the old school in-car phone has to go too

I look forward to the first meet. There is lots I need to learn about these cars.

Cheers!

I like the phone too. That's almost always the first thing people go for when they first get in my 8. I'm trying to find a way to set it up to connect via bluetooth to my iphone so i can use my carphone.

As far as fuel goes, they're not so bad once they're on the highway. In town it gets the same milage as a Porsche Cayenne or an X5M... it's really not the best lol.

For your MID, I've HEARD German audio tech is good for it. Mine still works, so i've got no personal experience, it's just waht i've seen online. Now there may also be a Canadian option, but I just don't know.

I would gladly take your phone off your hands if you decide to junk it since they are so outdated and cannot be used in NA.
I just want it for the look in my car, call me a fool, I know.
Congrats on the buy
