Are you sure you owned an e30? What stupid expensive parts? One of the motivating factors of getting an e30 is for how stupidly cheap the parts are, and how long they last......this is the cheapest car I've ever owned. A great commuter car too. Remember I do 1200km/week.

E-brake part... 55$ each...

Not to mention to rebuild your whole e-brake would cost hundreds...

Shit add's up.

Just did mine last month, cables were $30 each from Ajax auto parts. Made by Bilstein in Germany, not China. LOL. I hardly consider $60 expensive.....

Yeah, cables.. Not every other piece.

Stop getting all butt hurt and acting like I've never owned an E30 before. I've had 3 of them..

I'm not getting all butt hurt, I just don't understand how it's expensive to own an e30? Shopping at the wrong places? I don't know.

On a different topic are you going to be bringing that beast of a car to the autocross next month? I'd like to see how it goes.

I'm on the fence... I'm debating picking up coilovers tomorrow although I already have SPT adjustable suspension. Also, it's my only car so if I break something (not that it's likely) I'm pretty screwed. I'll most likely come out though.

Changed ball joints and tie rod ends. I wanted to take some measurements of my shift linkage to see about fitting a short throw but it rained on me and I needed my car tonight . Installed a mark D chip last month, wheel spacers and stud conversion, and Castrol 5w50 oil change last week. I still need to do RTABs, ugh. Still love my car after 5 years.

State of the Union - In 2 years ive owned the car this is the first week it hasn't leaked oil like a sieve! I guess that means no more free undercoat.
I replaced front crank seal, oil filter adapter gasket and O-ring.

When changing the oil mechanic noticed the stabilizer bar had popped out of the drivers side rod. Looks like my saturday morning has been booked but the part costs $15 and will likely last another 20 years.

I've got one coming.....making more money has only fueled my desires to keep one so it doesn't need to be my DD, that's always been the plan.
