battery issue

I bought a 2000 328ci coupe. The previous owner had a interstate battery in there which died.
So now for a replacement battery i dont know which one to get. I dont know if its ok if i put in a bigger battery with more Ah, CA and CCA.
Basically i need to know the recommended battery for my car.
called the dealer they are not sure or the mechanics.

THanks for the help in advance

Walmart - Energizer Max, part number 108-94R, $117. The book that hangs off the shelf where they keep the batteries lists it for for the various model years of E46, including the M3, and doesn't differentiate between coupe and convertible. I have a convertible, and it fits just like the stock battery. Works great so far.

Here's a guy on Rennlist that also uses it, he may be able to give you some long term feedback.

Go to interstate...their catalogue will tell you...I think that they are about $176 at interstate...So the dealership was not sure which one you need???
