Carpet Dye. Where can i get some.

I've use the duplicolour vinyl and fabric dye that you can get just about anywhere. CdnTire sells it but I think its cheaper at Home Depot. Just make sure your carpet is damn clean. there are a couple threads about it.

does it make the carpet feel hard after the dye dries. I heard some fabric applications change the feel on the carpet.

not the carpets I've done. Feels like newer carpet actually due to giving it a good cleaning with a stiff brush before dye.

I gave mine 2 coats from different angles. If you want good penetration Ive heard you can let the first coat dry, then brush, then do the second coat from another angle, but I had good penetration without brushing between. I let it dry for an hour between, but it was dry in 15 mins.

I had an automotive place mix me some stuff equivlent to carpet paint. First coat with a stiff vinyl brush looks good. One more coat and let it bake in the sun and warm weather is we get any.
