2008 e92 - all that bad?

Hey all,

Been a while. I'm on the verge of picking up a 2008 335i coupe. I love the car. What is concerning is some (LOTS) of the things people are saying about them, like this, My SA at BMW Toronto also warned me about them, and that they had to tune the horsepower back. I wouldn't really mind that as long as the issues are resolved. Anyone with good experience here?

No issues on my old man's 2007 E93 335i so far... Although it's only logged about 11,000 kms.

No issues here either. There will always be a rotten apple of the crowd, so just hope that it doesn't land in your hands. Do a thorough check at a dealership for the service record and judge from there. Good luck, but i wouldn't worry about it too much, they're great cars.
BMW...Now you're playing with power.

I have an 07 335i with 105,000km. I would recommend you get a certified series if possible. My turbos and my fuel pump have been replaced. But with a tune these cars are pretty fun.

Hi bmnorm,
How much did it cost u to replace ur turbos? cause I have E93 and the warranty is about to expire and I have around 68K on the car, I don't know if it's a smart idea to spent 4000$ on extended warranty for another 3 years or not.
