^ Exactly, another down side of waiting is, how long are you really wanting to wait? prices always go down and assuming he drives it the KM keep going up so the asking price will just keep dropping. A smart thing to do is price it according to the market, that's all you can do really, expecially in this market.

I was talking to an importer this morning and he said some 2008 335's are available from the USA for 23 - 24K. So unless this 2006 330i comes with a hookah in the trunk and and 5 years worth of supplies, it seems high. Where was it serviced?

lol i can provide a hooka with the vehicle, no problem.
but yeah you guys are right, the price is on the high scale but that also gives the room to negotiate it down. i am a motivated seller so i am open to offers as long as its reasonable.

The problem with pricing it too high, is that buyers, like me, immediately close the window for the ad and forget about the car if the seller is out to lunch on pricing. I actually laughed when I saw the price, and said to myself "good luck".
And I'm not trying to be rude at all, I can fully understand where you are coming from. It's your baby, and you can't imagine giving it up for less. But when the price is way too high, as it is, I wouldn't even bother contacting the seller because I know he's just going to view me as "a lowerballer" if I suggest to pay what the car is actually worth.
I've been heavily involved in looking for an '07 335i, but would also consider an '06 330i if the price was right. Fact is, that '07 335's (which are SO much more car) are going in the $20-$24K range.
Also, as a private seller, the tax advantage a purchaser used to have, has now disappeared, as private sales are also now taxed at 13%, and there is no warranty. Therefore, you basically have to be at or below Wholesale value to be competitive (plus you also can't offer financing like a dealer can)
Hopefully this helps. I think the other posters comment that you should realistically be looking at get around $18K is accurate.

You already have one. I'm assuming you don't beleive those low prices. They are basically correct.

For what it's worth... I would buy your car for $22,000 right now if only it wasn't X-Drive.

Great, but my sister is about to sink 20 into a mini right now, she might as well just get an e90 for 12 and save 8 grand.
BTW...what are you basing this pricing on anyway?
