e46 sedan a pillar airbag removal

has anyone changed this or is there a DIY?

i have it ready to come off but the connecter is hidden in behind the dash. I know the dash does not have to come out but is there a simple way of getting to it?

any help is greatly appreciated!

From the corner, remove the vent.

turns out it wasnt the airbag, scan shows error code 8.. Crash sensor front left

does anyone know where this sensor is located or what the part number would be?
