The guys in 1st & 2nd place are not classed properly (realize there's a question mark there). Sam's Civic has a TypeR conversion and the Genesis is definitely NOT stock.
Jon, can you repost them once you've done the appropriate changes?

I see Kevin ended up beating me by 0.130sec. Too bad the timer wasn't working to confirm that (vs. human reaction time on stop-watch).

^The usual bull#%^t. I'm gunning to have new timing gear for next event. I've had it with the old s#!t. Still, stopwatch was very accurate. It would not have changed the results.

Also that day I was sitting around in the top 40 percentile where I usually fit - thought I had a faster run that day by 10s or so. Something to look into for next time then the Munchenvagen rolls out (when family events settle down).

Couldn't be further from the truth. John, do you know how fast 0.130sec is? It's not 0.890sec. Trust me when I say the timing gear would make ALL the difference when it comes to 13-hundreds of a sec. I know you like to argue every point, but you have no weight with this one.

I say someone should talk to the club , this gives a very bad impression of our events, especially since this was the biggest turn out of the year with alot of new people. I'm sure it gave a bad impression on them, who might not return to the next ones due to the crappy timing gear. (It's in no way John's or anyone else's fault, no one is to blame, nor am I trying to, just trying to fix it and avoid it).

I know it's hard and we're probably already losing money on most events, but some sort of gesture from the club to make up for it would be nice, 1/2 price next event, extended membership, something....otherwise i'm sure alot of the new people aren't going to return. The regulars i'm sure don't care as much, even if it was only for the people whose first event it was, atleast you'd have a better chance of getting them to come back.

Im pretty sure we wont have as much people out at the next event, because people weren't too happy about the timing gear, it also makes the club look bad / unprofessional IMO.

I don't like to argue every point...............lol. But seriously I know how fast that is. I'm very optomistic, and I like to keep a positive attitude. Every effort was made to make it as fair as possible. The timer was placed right in line with the start stop cone for example. But Randy lets look at it from the other aspect, what if the gap between you and Kevin was larger? Argument fllies both ways.

You are 100% right and I've already contacted the treasurer to see what if anything we can do to get new equipment for next event. Kevin took the old timing gear and is trying a fix as well. If it works and we get new equipment, then we'll have back up. At least it won't be in vain.

Awesome! If you need backup, or us to file any types of complaints, let us know, you have our support.

I haven't got a response yet, but I'll spread the word either way when I get it. They knew this was coming, but since purse strings were tight were holding on until something like this happened. So I'm fully expecting a go ahead. But we'll see.

Since we're on the topic of timing gear, we should thank John's wife and Graeme's GF for "being" the timing gear to at least salvage the day.

Yup, that was a typo. You're definitely in DS. Corrected.

Updated Civic to Type R.
Was told Genesis 2.0T only had intake, though the wastegate sounded like it was over boosted.
Still waiting on classifications from John.

I've been using this document http://www.scca.com/documents/2011%2...20listings.pdf
I'm surprised the 2.0T is not in DS. It has 230hp and 260ft/lbs (after adjusting for drivetrain losses)

The crazy thing is that a BMW 135i would be in DS. That would do very well, especially lightly modded.

Hmm.. David Bic (2002 M3) is above you and he doesn't have a 5th run listed. Maybe it was put in your box? Hopefully he can pipe up and confirm that he did do a 5th run. It would be his best run by far.
