What waste energy? The Alternator doesn't make waste energy. The VR is there to do exactly that, regulate voltage. When there is no/little demand output is reduced.
To add something like this will increase the demand on the electrical system, that isn't free.
The only thing on a ICE that is waste energy would be the exhaust gases and the head produced by the engine.

On the other hand, you know what, you're right. Some dumpy company in Iceland has the solution to fuel economy, and all those retards at Toyota, Honda, Tesla etc are just too dense to look into something that's been done in the 70s by NASA and perfected by Viking Power. There's also the other remote possibility - that it's a way to scam money from people easily impressed by fancy sounding theory and big name drops like NASA.
You guys are right. I was just thinking of the voltage regulators that are inside the DIYPNP unit that I built. They needed to be installed with a heatsink, I figured the way they regulate voltage is just by burning it off as heat, like old style dimmer switches for lights. I just assumed there would be something similar on an alternator, but it's completely different. So yeah I was wrong in thinking there is excess voltage that can be used to run an electrolysis system. In that case I don't really know how this system could work.
However a set-up like NASA used that recovers waste energy from exhaust gas is still a possibility (even though that's not how this posted system works) It might not be used on production cars because the system is too expensive and to implement it would drive up the price of a car drastically...or maybe it just doesn't work
We tested it yesterday on my friends Vette.
We cant really say if it affected economy but the car was slightly more powerful and eager.
Also we had the exhausts gases measured and at idle the defo were cleaner. Dont recall the exact figures. As you reved it though they did go back to normal. I asked the guy in the company and he said that this is normal and they do offer an option to adjust it on the go.
The price of the kit is not that bad and in my eyes even if it just gives a slight increase in power and no fuel saving then its worth it. Just to give you a price i was quoted about 500 CAD fitted and i can test it for a week before i pay for it. Off course if you add all the extras the price more than doubles....
The way i see it, its for sure that by adding hydrogen to the air-fuel mixture in a car's engine will allow the engine to burn the gas more completely because the hydrogen is simply more flammable.
I am not saying its working or not as i am not sure my self at the moment. But no need to diss the thing completely (whether it is or it isnt from Iceland Big D). Remember Diesel owners were told they can run their diesel engines on fuel made from vegetable oil and there were people laughing at the idea.....but are they now?
And i doubt the energy loss from the alternator by adding this is that dramatic. Its the same theory as replacing a viscous fan with an electric one. I doubt the loss is more than a couple of horsepower.

Lo there do I see my mother.
Lo there do I see my brothers and my sisters.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning.
Lo they do call to me
they bid me take my place among them in the Halls of Valhalla,
where the brave may live forever"
Why is that allot?
Would you allow me to drive a week on it before i pay though if it was a hoax?
No disrespect but i am not trying to promote this! I was simply asking for opinions. And so far i realize the negativity but are you all certain it wont work? Have you had personal experience?
I am happy to test it for a week as it wont cost me a penny! And if its a hoax i wont lose nothing. But if its not?

It's a scam... plain and simple. You don't get anything for free.
And seriously, think about it. How can it really work 100% without changing the tuning of the car, etc.
If you want to piss away $500 be my guest, but fuel economy can change for many reasons and it's almost impossible to validate the claims they are making. Really you should just give me the $500 if you want to believe in something like this system. It will go to better use I promise.
