Thanks guys!! After the harness bar and diagonal in the main hoop, I will most likely get the front hoop in and everything tacked together, then do the rear. It will have an X in the rear section to the shock towers.

Good call. Jamie (Aero) is doing the same thing. Just having the rear half done as he still drives to and from the track.

It's on here but he doesn't update it.

As soon as we're done Chris' car, we'll be doing the front half of my cage. Right now I have exactly what you want.

Got the main hoop finished up! Diagonal and harness bar.

Some Coping:

Test Fit:

Everything is just tacked in place right now. Next up is tacking it in the car/on the boxes and getting going on the front hoop!

great job on the notching! It's really important to get that right ... makes the welding later so much easier!

Its just a 1.5" holesaw (same diameter as the tubing) set on a jig that holds the tube and can be adjusted to whatever angle the piece is cut at. Ill try to snap a picture of it. Goes really well!

Worked a bit tonight. Decided to re-work the main hoop:

Pretty happy with it now. just need to finish welding it, then it will be tacked in the car.

This is looking more and more like a car from death proof, and I like it.
