A bit of an update. Started stripping the car down to prepare it for cage and body work.







Was able to take about 20 lbs out of the doors. they are down to about 30 lbs now.















All the windows will be replaced by lexan except for the front

...And yes indeed that is styrofoam on the rear quarter panel on the last picture. Started working on a widebody! The plan is to shape the fenders out of styrofoam as a sort of mold to fiberglass over top. the styrofoam will then be removed afterwards.

First application:



Shaped it then put on another layer:



And Shaped it













Then Filled the joints:





Still need to finish shaping a bit more and finish filling the joints, but i am happy the way it's turning out so far!

Next I will need to get new fenders for the fronts as they are rotted, and will start shaping the front!

Hoping to start the cage in December as well.

As for the engine, i will be picking up Malcolms m50 block, and re-using my head. hopefully that will be good to get me through next season without too many headaches!!
