Been Very busy!!
so here it is:
First Calabogie event with the car was the Cup weekend. Car ran well but it didn't seem to pull as hard as it should be. It was also having trouble starting when Hot. After a couple AutoX events, it started getting worse to the point where it was studdering and the throttle was lagging. After a bit of research i determined that the culprit was the fuel pressure regulator that had gone bad. After replacing it, the car ran great!! acceleration was much better which resulted in attaining 12kph more down rocky road at Calabogie.
I Then did the July 15-17 weekend with the BMW car club of ottawa and the car ran great all weekend until sunday.. in the second session of the morning, i was coming down the front straight and noticed a loss of power. Looked down at the temp gauge and it had sky rocketed. I pulled over, shut the engine off, and got towed off. Turns out the rad blew up, overheating the engine, which then blew the headgasket. Ill be pulling it apart this weekend with fingers crossed!
