The front and rear lights looks very similar to the facelifed e90/2

yeah I saw it. they are testing the wrong car though. 550 is front heavy, and has electric steering.

those are two reasons (among others) why I picked 535xi over 550i or 535i
535xi has hydraulic steering and has proper bmw feel.

the gripe I had with my e39 540 was that it was too heavy in the front.
535xi is perfect in that department. it already has 300HP/300lb and is faster than e39 540 AND I will chip/mod it too to

340 whp (420 HP at the crank)
370 wtq (460 tq at the crank)

SWEET

no reason for 550 with all its issues

to me - there is a vast difference. just the same theme.
facelifted e90 looks like they tried to do something but it did not work out too well, F10 on the other hand looks complete.

WELL,I was enjoying the F10, THEN typical Calgary traffic, was first car in a three car pile up, was rear ended by one truck, then another hillbilly thought it would be a good idea to join the first, the term the police officer used was DOUBLE TAP, damn, it was only two months old

now I am saying farewell to this awesome car:
being a BMW driver for 20 years I am abandoning the brand since BMW disappointed me with bad service and bad attitude. I can't believe it but I will be driving an Audi A6 3.0 TSFI for a few years now. May be I come back again after. who knows. Now I am selling a bunch of things off this car. black kidney grilles, JB3 tune, winter tire/rim set.

If you don't mind me asking...what happened in terms of service and attitude? I thought BMW would treat 5 series drivers better than 3 series drivers...

Sorry to hear...Audi is a great choice though...IMO

I do not take well when I can not drop my car off for 30 minutes while the service manager blowing me off a few times, pretending being busy but actually just taking papers from one pile and putting to another. then just trying to get rid of me completely without wanting to talk to me and writing down the problems I came with..
I dont take it well when the things I report are not even dealt with, when the scheduled service is not done , oil not changed and I have to bring the car back again ... it is a long list and it has all happened in my last year.
I dont understand how I have to wait for a back ordered part for 6 month (drivers side seat adjustment motor) then I have to wait for month and a half to get scheduled for repairs. then I bring my car but I am told they dont have all the parts and I have to wait again for the backordered parts. just BS like that.

Looking forward to driving the Audi for a while - I think it would be a good change for a while at least

That place was horrible when I had my 540, ten years ago..... Quoted $550 for an Airbag fault, then asked for $900 when I went to pick up the car. The SA claimed that the original quote didn't include diagnostic labor. Now... I would have been willing to pay $900 if they apologized and said it was a mistake, but now they are insulting my intelligence.

So... I asked the SA... if I asked my wife to go to the bank to get some cash to pay for this, how the fk would she know to take out $900 instead of $550.

The general manager called me the next day and refunded $350. On top of that, they crushed my phone charger under the seat. I got a cheque for that too....

Next time, I needed an ABS scan. I was quoted 30 minutes, but the bill was 1 hr.... c'mon for fks sake - We all know it only takes 2 minutes....

Then they wouldn't sell me the ball joint tool. I even provided the PN... picked it up in the states..... I'm so happy for BMW Scanner 1.4.0
