Convertible Soft Top Repairs

I am new to the forum and have enjoyed reading the info on this site. I am currently looking at purchasing a M3 convertible which will be my first convertible car but my second BMW. I have found a car with low kms and had an inspection done at the dealer and I am ready to move forward. The only issue is the soft top has a 2" rip at the bottom left hand corner. I know a new top will cost me $2,500 and was wondering if there is anyone in the Toronto area that does soft top repairs? I realize that you will see the patch but I am not concerned as it is not that visible. I know eventually I would have to put a new top on it but was hoping not to do that right away. The car has a removable hard top that comes with it and this car will not be driven in the winter. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
