Just got g2 = 318i
you can probably still get the 325i but you'll probably wanna and get into trouble with it being still unexperienced.

welcome to max
you'll be a good driver if you survive winter in a RWD car , especially if its your 1st car!
318 is cheaper, burns less gas, cheaper insurance, is 1000x's classier then many other 4 bangers in that price range.

I had a 318 M42, but I would go for 325.
I think it is easier to drive stickshift 325 in the city because the 318 has no power under 3000 rpm. That is my opinion.

Yeah, E36 isn't exactly a 'chick magnet' either. I think you need a bro truck.

318. It's cheaper all around. I have an e36 318is, and it's not a horrible car. The 325 will probably get you in trouble. You can always upgrade to a 325 at a later time, once your older, pay less for insurance, and have more experience driving.
Save going fast for the track no matter which car you purchase. I speak from experience. As for the chick magnet thing. If it's a BMW, girls who don't know everything about BMW's, won't care what engine is in it. To them, it's still a BMW.

325 no doubt. M42 = waste of time.
