Parts in Canada

Hello,

I'm about to do an engine replacement for my car and will need a bunch of parts and plan on ordering more outside of the swap. Just wondering where everyone buys their parts in Canada.

Ebay has prices but they can vary and it's not reliable for stock when I need it. I have purchased from autopartscanada.ca before but some things seem expensive and I think there are cheaper places. So long story short where are the hidden gems of parts in Canada?

Thanks

www.autopartsway.ca/ is what i use. For low volume parts (M42 vaccuum hoses, OBC bulbs etc.) i've gone to maranello BMW. For these things their prices are good and you get a discount for mentioning maxbimmer.

You should check the prices at www.bimmerspecialist.ca as they are usually quite good.

I reg. use bimmerspecialist and have used autoparts.ca once. However there are a ton of parts that they simply don't carry or stock. If you're doing a rebuild you're going to need all those odd bolts, etc...

In that case I use Pelican parts for those orders. Takes longer to get here to Canada, but hey.

If you want CHEAP old stock (cheap rotors etc...) check out rockauto.com. They are hit and miss on pricing. Good for new cores on control arms, calipers etc...

Thanks for the replies. I checked and it was autopartsway that I had ordered from in the past. It just seems like some of the prices in the states were a lot more compared to Canada. Things like motor mounts seem so expensive north of the boarder.
