Just checked the clusters I have in my closet. I have two old style ones in there (one newer style), but they are all taken apart/missing gauges. I would assume the back housings match the front. One of them has a decent glass I think, if you would want to try and piece those together.

But do the old back panels have the same connectors as a newer style harness?

I think the plugs are the same. When I get home later I'll take a pic of the old and newer boards side by side.

Rudy, the old style housing from looking at it from the outside is the same but on the inside I believe the tach and speedo, one or the other, or both (can't recall now) is either larger or smaller then the newer housing, due to updated design of the gauge. so if you are using one style make sure you have the matching gauges. I ran into this a while ago when trying to swap out a guage and it didn't fit the opening.

hmm... I don't know. It was free, so I guess I can just put it on my shelf and look at it every once in a while.

BTW Rudy, you were wondering about the 5 hole steering wheel adapter. I saw a guy on R3V with a Grant steering wheel... sure enough: 5 hole! Good guess eh?

Also, my ban lasted 7 days... picked up one of those plate fillers like John has on the back of his e30. But I'm done again! No more parts!

Yeah man! I'm not a fan of Grant wheels though, I knew a guy who used to have one in an Eagle Talon, you could bend that wheel so much... I don't know how you could get much feel through the wheel with it flexing that much. Thats when I realized how good the quality of Momo wheels were

Next time you are up my way, bring the clock gauge with you, we can try to put those gauges together and see if we can make a working cluster.

PS, you need a black plate filler on the vert Might as well have 'em all!

From what I gather, it's made by Hella. Also, from what I gather, I got a good deal on it... although I think John got his for free IIRC.

Momo does make nice stuff most of the time, and I really like my Nardi that I have in the coupe. I've never had the (dis)pleasure of owning a Grant.

I'll take you up on that offer in the spring!

I've got a euro black plate filler, but I thought I would put it on the coupe and put the Hella one on the vert. I think if I put the Hella one on the coupe, combined with the lower valence, it will look too much like T.dot E30's old car. Especially if I put some Hartge skirts on it. Also, I think the black panel will not be terribly noticeable on the vert. I dunno, we'll see come spring time! I can't wait for spring!!

I was thinking of thiefing your tinted ones for the vert, but then it wouldn't look good with the red filler... blast! I also want to paint the hard top diamondschwarz, but thats another story for another time.

Yea you need another e30... and a job!
