hwy 401 Max Speed..
Today when comin back from the westen to scarb. i deceided to see wat is the max speed on my stock 90 325is. when i hit 165 the car couldnt go any faster. is this normal on a stock 325is or somethin is wrong? the rev was at 55,000 it wasnt even redline?

hmmm in my 94 318i auto i hit 180 something...
i think u should be able to hit 200+

i dont think there was a govenor....before i did my swap i would pull it up to 200 easy after 200 the acceleration would take longer.....my car was a 1989 325i....zimmie what did you do ? did you have someone in the trunk hah

car couldnt hit 200... i need an oil change that might be it..

I know this guy (  ) with a green 2002 (hurtin' engine with a slightly burnt exhaust valve) that was doing 170km/h. He can't wait till his rebuilt engine is broken in to see what it can do now!

wait a min. is the 2002's the old bmw's?
Shiiii*iit gUYS help wtf IS WRONG WITH MY CAR....
HAVENT CHANGE MY OIL/AIR FILTER SINCE I BOUGHT IT.. COULD THAT BE IT?? i bought last yr september i didnt drv for the winter and the person i bought it from told me it need an oil change.. i didnt change it because i wasnt goin to drv it for the winter..

Yep. I forgot to add that he ( ) has a slightly bigger carb on it (Webber 32/36). By the way it is alot easier to get the old cars to go faster since there are no computers to limit the top speed (but you are limited to gear ratio and horsepower).
Not his ( ) car but damn sweet eh!

we tested 2002- 325is on hwy 403 the engine cuts out at 225km/hr. (the govenor kick in)
at 165 .... i think it's just happen you were pushing against the wind since today was very windy ....
