Although I am curious, does the boost graph make that curve, based on the size of the turbo, and/or because your not running electronic boost control?

The curve is because of electronic boost control (through the VEMS).

Basically I ramped the boost towards redline to flatten the TQ curve... but the controller is maxed out now... it will not give any more boost then what you see there (approx 23psi, the dyno reads around 1.5 psi more then in actual)

Should post this in the thread on e30tech if you haven't already, that talks about bumping boost past the torque peak for a flat torque curve. This is pudding!!

Thats cool! I don't know much bout tuning, its sweet you can do that! I always thought about using the controller for reduced lag

well the motor was short lived... we suspect an injector failure or injector drive failure of some sort... #6 piston.. the rest are still in perfect shape. Boost will be turned down to WG pressure for now until we find out exactly what caused this.

Should have it back together by the weekend. Yesterday the cam, rockers, etc were transferred to a new head and I spent 2.5 hours cleaning the aluminum off the cyl walls with Muriatic Acid... what a PITA.. but it all came off and we gave it a quick hone and it's ready for the replacement piston.

As in it was running too lean on that cylinder and it melted the piston? That's what it looks like in the second picture.
