its 2011...what do you have planned for your e30??

"Hey guyzzz

I just thought we could all share what we are going to do or what we would like to do in the not too distant future (ie. 2011)

It would be cool say then at the end of the year we can bring back up this thread again and see what rly got done/what didn't/who sold their E30/who r3v'd their E30.

I think we could use this format like so:

-Year/model
-Color
-Mods/stuffs already done
-Things you wanna do to your E30
-How you plan to use those mods or what are you going to be doing with your e30 this yr. (track, auto-x, mall rat, crusin etc)"

and to add a twist, post a pic of your e30 at the moment!
----------------------------------------------------------------

I will start

-1990 325i
-Diamond Schwartz Metallic
-M50TU Swap, Slammed....on sportmax or supersport springs, audio system, Small diameter Dyno steering wheel on butchered/modified momo custom hub with screw pattern dyno to momo hub adapter, custom down pipes to cat, new PVC Valeo Clutch, shaved and lightened M20 flywheel
-S50 Cams/Tune, New shocks and anything suspension related, Z3 1.9 shifter, iS lip, swap out the 3.73 Open diff for newly acquired 3.73 LSD (thx to the original maker of this thread), sell e30 and get e46
-i plan on just autocrossing and croozing really. probaly get on a big time track ie. mosport.

a lession for those M50'ers with G260 trannys...its a bitch to pull the oil pan off as the ransmission HAS to come off. ...oil pan is on now. just putting everything back together oooh i cant wait to get behind the e30 wheel again

For me, it's easier to list what isn't being done - other than small modifications, the dash and sheet metal will be unchanged. Otherwise, everything is being redone. E36 M3 front, MCoupe rear, S52 getting built for serious power, new crazy fuel system, new brake lines (even hard lines) with a prop valve etc etc

That's what you'll be saying 2 weeks after you buy an E46

-1990 E30 325i
-Diamond Schwartz
-mods: Innovate LC-1, 19lb injectors, M30 AFM, K&N air filter, Ground Control Coilovers 500f/700r, TMS SS lines, MarkD 91 octane chip
-To do list: tune-up, patch up a couple cancer spots, change timing belt and water pump, fabricate skid plate, depending on funds headers and exhaust
-I will be hitting as many auto-x events as I can this year and hopefully at least one lapping day, maybe at the new Grand Ben track, cruises, and road trips

-1984 E30 325e
-Bronzit
-mods: boost
-to do list: sort out issues with MS install, change the brakes, install lowering springs, replace the hood (funny story)
- I want to get the car driveable and tuned, safetied and just drive it into the ground or until the motor explodes from boost

no pics of cars because both are stuffed into a shed down the road from my house.

Winter 2011 may also carry an interesting build depending on money and if we get a shop built at my house this summer

If you haven't bought these yet, I've got 550f/750r springs I need to sell. That way you just need the adjusters.

I'm not going to go over what has been done to my cars because most of you have seen the cars before, so I'll just say what I've got planned for the spring. Most of it is just aesthetic.

For the 1991 318is:
Alpina rep green tach stripe
Euro Analog clock
Euro Grills
Euro Plate filler
E28 M-tech 1 rear spoiler
H&R Race spring
(All ball joints and bushings were done in the fall, as well as a Suspension Techniques front sway bar.)

For the 1991 318ic:
E90 Drop hats (and remove the spring pads for a little extra low)
German 6 button clock
Vinyl wrap the hood to cover all the stone chips and the peeling clearcoat
Kamei x1 stripe set
Kamei Centra 15 x 7 et26 rims with 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers... hopefully
AC Schnitzer rear spoiler, if it will look good
(4.27LSD was put in early in the fall)

Mom's 1989 325i
Tach clock (got it for free!!)... just have to figure out if it will work for late model cars

Dad's 1992 318ic
Steal Rob's AC Schnitzer rims and Sam's tires from his TSW's!

That is all.

Those were in my current mods list. I did all the suspension last year. Thanks though.

Gotcha. Yeah I realized that later when I noticed the "to do", I thought the mods were "to do mods".
