So I took it to BMW, and they said the battery is dead.
I already knew that. Trickle charging it over night didnt work either.
Now they claim a "BMW" battery has more cells regardless of the exact same cold cranking amps (CCA), and is "larger" than the Eliminator battery I got from Canadian tire.
So, they want to sell me a BMW battery ($265 !), just so they can do a diagnostic check.
At this point I've exchanged the battery 3 times in 3 months, and CT will question and might even deny a free replacement cause they will say the problem is with my car. According to BMW this is not an equivalent replacement.
I dont know if CT will take the battery back and refund me my money now. I dont want to pay twice for a battery.
Can someone shine some light on this "after market battery Vs. BMW battery" issue ? I've never ran into a battery problem such as this.
